Amazing Birthday by Anisten

I once had a birthday.  I got flowers.  We also made cupcakes.  I got a new bike.  It is a purple and has humming birds and flowers on it.  I also got a box of presents from my great aunt.  I got fake nails from her.  My sister gave me books and CDs.  My brother gave me toys and my mom and dad gave me the bike.  They also gave me a card.  My aunt gave me a card and gave my 9 dollars because I am turning 9.  It was the best birthday ever!

My Trip to Africa by Brynlee

I'm going on a trip to Africa with my cousins Amanda, Ashley and our two families. We went into the kitchen and we heard on the radio that there's a chance to earn one billion dollars but you've got to get on a tube and float around the African Ocean.
"The African Ocean is the world's most shark-filled ocean in the world," said my older cousin."
"The only reason why you know that is because you're a Shark Week Freak."
"Whatever," he said, "but I'm going to do it because I have swam with Grea White sharks but every knew I was joking.  they agreed to play a prank on our parents with me.  We went to ask them if we could do it.  We asked them and they said yes.  They thought we meant to go in a swimming pool on a tube and we could only do it when there were two teen hammerhead sharks in it which their size would probalby be seven feet long.  On the way to the airport, I felt kind of scared.
I told Amanda and Ashley, "Maybe it's a crazy idea to float around the African Ocean on a tube."
"I agree," said Ashley.
"Me too," I said.  Another reason is because there are millions of sharks, squids and humongous whales.  They both agreed with me so we asked our parents not to do it. They said, "What?!  It's in a real ocean!!!!"
We already signed up!  Are you CRAZY?!  Shhhhh!  Do you want to wake the whole neighborhood?  PS They were there at 6:30pm.  As they got on the plane, they were all horrified.  When we sat down, a lady offered us some cookies and juice and we all said, "Yes, please."  When we got there, Amanda was asleep and so me and Ashley got some pillows and whacked her with them.  She laughed and we continued the pillow fight but then we remembered today was the day of the African Ocean.  Then, I also remembered on the radio it said, "Life jackets are not required."  Come on, Ashley said.  So you're telling me we could just fall out and die," she added.  "That's right," said her dad.  "It's hard to believe but were going to do it.  It will be fun, you'll see."  "Okay today's the day," said Amanda.  "In less than one hour, we're going on the tube."
Minutes went past and soon they could all possibly be dead.  It was time to go and get ready.  We drove over to the ocean half excited, half scared but mostly scared.  When we got there, we hopped on the tube but for a weird reason, it was a two family tube boat.  All of the sudden, I saw a Great White, thirteen feet long.  I warned them but we had already floated off to sea.
"This is an adventure," said my brother.
We hit a big wave.  In fact, it was five feet tall but that was just the beginning.  We hit lots of other waves too.  When I looked up, we were in the sky.  There we were on a fifty foot wave.  The tube did a big back flip into the air.  Fortunately, we all landed on the tube boat.  I wanted to talk to Amanda so I called her name.
"Amanda! Amanda!" I said but he didn't answer.  All of the sudden, I heard some splashing.  Of course, you think it's a shark, but it's worse.  I looked down and there she was.  I tried and tried to pull her in but the tube was kind of tipping.  So I grabbed a rope from the tube in case of emergency and pulled her onto the tube.  Yes, she was wet and disturbing but I didn't care.  Everyone was proud of me especially her brothers Steven and Nathan, her sisters Ashley, Malia, Abbi and her parents.  Okay, fine, her brother Steven didn't really care but I still felt special.
"Land isn't that far."
"It's only six hundred fifty one miles across," said my mom.  We chatted a lot but we were still afraid of the dangerous things out there.
"Let's just be glad we're not in the Italian ocean because that's one of the oceans that has the most whale sharks in the world," I said.
Okay, I watch shark week every once in a while but I'm not a shark week freak.  All of the sudden, a group of dolphins jumped into the air.  What a surprise.  Ashley saw shadows in the water.  Huge shark-sized shadows.  The biggest one was who knows how big it was.  If I were to guess, it would probably be twenty feet tall and five feet wide but of course that was just my guess.  We saw some waterfalls but they weren't that big.  Up next I saw a waterfall fifty, sixty one hundred I don't know how big it was.  Luckily, we had floated all the way over to the other side of the ocean and so I grabbed a tree branch and pulled but we were two feet away from the waterfall.  I pulled us on to the side and hurray!  We all got off.  It was a long walk home.

Today I am going on a vacation.  We went to Utah to Montana.  We also went to see Old Faithful.  It was so much fun!  We also went to Colorado and back to Utah in two days!

Once at a camp called Jordanelle in Heber, we were about to go to bed.  A skunk came.  I was the first one to see it.  I told everybody.  Everybody was scared.  We put a trap by my camp spot.  The next day, the skunk was trapped in the trap and the workers took him.

Baby Sister by Athena

My first time seeing my baby sister was when I walked into the hospital room.  But first, let's start way back in the morning.  I ate my breakfast, got my backpack and left for school.  My teacher then was Mrs. Acthison first grade at Welby Way Elementary.  After school, my grandma came to pick us up.
I asked her, "Why didn't mom and dad pick us up?"
She said, "Because they are in the hospital."
My baby sister was born.  My cousin's mom called and asked us if we wanted to go visit them in the hospital.  We said yes.  She drove to our house and picked us up.  Then she drove us to Tarzana Hospital.  We went into her room.  She was in a little bed next to my mom's bed.  She was wrapped in a blanket dressed in a one piece body suit.  I looked at the design on the shirt.  It had flowers, hearts and said, "It's A Girl!"  She was so cute and tired.  I was so happy!  I love, love my baby sister!

I was tired one day.  I was busy.  Then I fell asleep.  My mom woke me up.  I woke up with a scare.  I was on the couch.  It was 4:06.  I slept for 3 hours.  I think I was going to me sick.  It was past chore time.  The end.

My hermit crabs are not that shy.  My favorite hermit crab's name is Pokey.  He is not shy at all and I give him hermit crab cookies.  They love hermit crab cookies so much.  Pokey likes to wear two shells at a time.  When you are bored, you can play with him.  It is so fun.  When you want to play with him, most of the time he does not play.

Going to the Cabin by Ryan

I went to my grandma and grandpa's cabin over the weekend.  It was so fun!  While we were there, we saw this squirrel.  We always see a squirrel but this time, it is a different squirrel but we still call him Lester.  Did I tell you who Lester is?  Lester is this squirrel that we see every time we go up there.  But this time, we saw a different squirrel.  It was not the same squirrel we usually see.  It's tail was more blackish.  We fed it anyways and we played blocks.  It was fun!  This squirrel came right up to you and reached his little arms up and grabbed the peanut.  We also saw some bluejays.  The bluejays had a little feather sticking up on his or head.  We fed them some peanuts.  They ate the peanuts.  Oh, I also saw Lester climb up a pine tree and it put a mushroom on the branch of the pine tree.  It stayed there for a long time.  We did go to Duck Creek!  When we got to Duck Creek, we went to the gas station.  We got some popsicles and my brother Brayden got ice cream!  I think we or they should call Duck Creek Marmot Creek because at Duck Creek there are lots of marmots!  Me and my brothers and my sister and my grandma got out of the car.  We saw a marmot.  Marmots are fat.  This one was different.  It had a white face.  The whole trip was super fun!

Disneyland by Liberty

We went to Disneyland and it was so fun!  I went on California Screamer and Indiana Jones.  We stayed in Vegas and California.  We got home on Easter morning.  We swam at every hotel.  It was a seven year old.  And that was last year.

My Dreams by Brock

It would be so cool if I was a college football player or any type of football player.  The only person that I would want to be is quarterback or receiver.  It would be so cool and awesome if I was in the olympics or if I was, I would do archery.  I would hit it right on target after I would miss a couple times.  The only other sport that I would want to play is basketball or NFL football or swimming.  And those are are my dreams.

The Baby Tiger by Norah

One day I was in the jungle.  When I was, I was skipping.  I heard a roar but it was not loud.  Then I saw a waterfall.  I was looking around everywhere.  Finally, I was amazed to see a baby tiger on a cliff.  I looked around, I didn't see another tiger.  I tried to get it down but unfortunately that didn't work.  Ok, now it the time for lauches.  I found a lever and some stretchy thick string.  I tied the stretchy thick string to two palm trees and put the lever on for the seat.
"Ready, set, gooooooooo!"
Up, up, up I flew and all of the sudden, Crash!  I hit the baby tiger.
"Sorry," I said.
....all of the sudden I realized, "How are we going to get down?  Oh well, I guess we can just jump down."
"Roar!!" the baby tiger whimpered.
"No," I said. "No jumping."
"Roar!!"
"Not now!"
"Roar!!"
"Wow!" I said. Right when I plopped on the ground, the tiger was pointing at a vine.
"Good idea," I said.  "You're going to have to hold on tight."
"Wowwwwwwwww!" we said.  "Oof, oh, ahhh!"
We fell off the vine.
"Well, at least we got down eight feet."
Finally, we were searching for it's mother.  When it was about to be evening, we sat by a palm tree.
"Oh, we searched for hours," I said.
All of the sudden a coconut hit my head.
"Ouch!" I said.
"Sorry," a bird said.
I looked up.
"Hi, I'm Marlen," one of them said.
"I'm Macy," another said.
"Oh hi," I said.  "Did you see a big tiger go anywhere?"
"Ya sure."
"Really? Where?"
"Up where the canyons are."
"Thank you," I said.
When we were searching, a big tiger was running toward us.  Finally, the baby was running toward the big tiger.  When I knew it was the baby tiger's mother, they started running toward me.  They smiled at me.  Then they disappeared in the sunset.

Spiders are kind of dangerous.  Did you know that a black widow's poison is more deadly than a rattlesnake?  Can you imagine that a black widow is more poisonous than a rattlesnake?  This means that a black widow can kill a rattlesnake.  A rattlesnake has heat sensing pits.  These pits tell the snake if the animal they are hunting is warm or cold blooded.

Today is my birthday!  I have got no presents yet.  My dad said my birthday will actually start this afternoon.  I wonder what I will get.  And my friend Boston lost his basketball.  I hope after school he will find it.  And he won't get in trouble.  Great news, this morning Boston found it!  He found his ball.  Yesterday was my birthday.  I got Madden NFL 13.  It is so cool!  It looks like a real game on tv.  I got the beyblade earth virgo.

I was going to the store to get the new Super Mario game.  I asked my mom if I could get it and she said tomorrow and I said ok and I woke up and I got it.  It was the bomb.  I was so happy my mom got it.  Awesome!

My Dog Died by Brody

I just got told that my dog was sick.  I didn't think it was that bad.  So every night my dog would be barking and growling.  So early morning, my mom and dad let with our dog.  I did not know what was going on.  So after school, I went to my house.  My brother told me that my dog was at the vet.  So in the night, my mom and dad came back.  They told me he got put to sleep.  I did not know what that meant.  I thought he was sleeping for a long time.  But then my mom told me that he died.  I was crying all day!

Going Somewhere Fun by Morgan

I went somewhere really fun.  I went to Pump It Up.  It is a fun place because there is jump houses.  There is a jungle gym and the most funnest one of all is the Slepen Slider.  It is so fun.  I kept on going on it over and over again.  There is a lunch room if you want to have a snack go in the lunch room.  After 20 minutes you go to a different room.  It is fun because if you go in the second room, there is a zipline.  It is so fun that I went on it the whole time I was in that room.  I had a fun time at Pump It Up and it is located in Eastvale California.

Once I got three dogs Maggie, Tank and Bostin.  I did not know then one day they got stolen.  But Tank flied in the dead end and Bostin bounced off the cushion.  Then he took down the guy.  Then Maggie got the police and they took me home.
I talked to them, "You guys saved me!"
"What?  You can talk?"
"I mean, woof!"
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!  That is crazy!  When did you start talking?"
"When we were born!"

Going on a Crazy Vacation by Logan

What I did over the weekend was I went to Park City for three nights.  I went swimming and there was a game room.  I played in the game room and we went on the Alpine Slide and the Alpine Coaster.  The Alpine Slide is more fun.  The Alpine Coaster is just like it's a roller coaster.  The slide is just like a slide but you sit on this cart and you push this lever down then you go down.  The brake is up.  It is like one or two minutes.  It went really fast.  On the Alpine Coaster you have to be eight or older.  It is like the Alpine Slide but different.  You do it at the slide.

I got two birds.  Their names are Daisy and Dexter.  Daisy's white with blue on her tummy.  We are going to teach them how to talk.  Their cage has a mirror with a bell on the bottom.  They also have shapes with a bell on the bottom too.  They have two bars.  One is high and one is low.

Today at recess, I had a fun time.  I was playing with my friends.  My friend's names are Brody, Jacob and Logan.  It was fun playing with my friends.  I ran down the hill.  I tripped and fell.  It hurt.  I felt better after I slept for 2 hours.  I was good after all I had a fun time.  We went to class.  The next day at that recess, I was good after all.

When I got my dog, she was black and very little.  After we got her, I played with her a lot.  I love sleeping with her.  She always licks me when I put my hand by her mouth.  But I want to sleep on the bottom bunk cause she can't come in the top bunk.  She is a very cute dog.  Her name is Sadie.  I love swinging with her.  She bites you when you pick her up slowly but she doesn't bite you when you pick her up fast.  She is five in human years.  She is not that old but she is a little old.  When I want to play with her on the tramp, she doesn't come on.  Guess why?  Cause she doesn't like the tramp.  I believe she is the best dog.

It's almost my birthday!  I'm asking for a journal, some beyblades and a long board.  I already know I'm getting a long board because my g-ma took me shopping at the mall with my mom.  We went into a store and saw these awesome longboards.  The store was really long and narrow so it was easy to ride them back and forth.  I found one that I really liked and my grandma said she would get it for my birthday to give me.  And what's even better is that my mom gave me a present before my birthday!  It was a Wii game called Sonic Unleashed.  I've gotten super far on it and my little brother loves it.  He loves watching me play it.

The Secret Club by: Tyler

One day when the sun was shining my friend, Mia, called me and said, "Do you want to come over?" I asked my mom if I was allowed to go and we decided it was okay. I got my jacket and my new book, Hugo Cabret, and then my mom drove me off.

When I got there, Mia's mom answered and said, "Hi Tyler, come on in!" I took off my shoes and stepped in. When I did, Mia called up, "Is it Tyler?" I went downstairs and I saw Mia coloring Mickey Mouse with her little brother and sister.

I said, "Hi."

"Oh, hi," she said. Then her little brother turned around, got a pillow and hit me.

"Pillow fight," he yelled!

I know Mia's brother's and sister's names. The boy is named Benjamin and the girls is named Vivvy. Vivvy is older than Ben.

In the pillow fight, we were jumping on the couches and running like crazy. After the pillow fight, Mia and Ben and I went into Ben's room. Ben's bed is a bunk bed and on the top bunk there is a hood over it. We got books, pillows and blankets and put them on the top bunk. Then we pretended like were aliens. Then the problem started. Vivvy was trying to break it! Mia went down, "Be careful out there Sergeant," I said in an alien voice.

Then I heard, "Boom, boom, bam!"

I thought Vivvy had broken in!

"Pillows," I yelled.

I threw down a pillow and jumped off the top bunk. When I landed, I picked up my pillow only to see Mia staring at me. I was so embarrassed. Vivvy wasn't even in.

"Sorry," I said.

"Get that pillow back up here," she yelled. So Mia and I got back up and started to read. Then, after we read, Mia said, "I'm burning."

"Me too," I said, "let's get some fresh air in here."

She said, "So you want me to open the window?"

"Sure," I said. So we got down and opened the window.

Because we were in Ben's room, we let Ben play with us. After that we kept reading but we decided to go outside. So we did. When we did, it was very cold so we decided to run around the block a few times. The first time we saw Ben waiting for us at the top of the hill so we let him run with us. After we ran, we went inside and had dinner. After we had soup, Mia and I read some more and then my mom came to pick me up.

"Come on sweetie," she said.

"Okay. Bye Mia!"

Then I left.

The Bear by: Madison

Once there were 2 boys. Their names were Shane and Jacob. There were 3 girls too and their names were Jailey, Emma and Kailey. They were all 17 years old. They were all best friends so they decided to go on a camping trip. They went up in to the mountains in Jacob's red pickup truck and Jailey and Kailey rode in Kailey's Mustang. The girls followed Jacob and them up into the mountains. They got to their camping place and put their tent up. It was getting pretty dark so they decided to play night games like normal teenagers do. They started playing hide and seek and it was getting pretty dark and Kailey said, "Let's play on bikes" because she loved riding bikes. They started riding up into the high mountains and when they got to the top they hid and Kailey found a cave and hid in there.

Jacob hid with her and Kailey said, "Wow it's dark in here."

Then Jacob said, "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

So they got on their bikes and rode off. They heard something chasing after them. It sounded like a wold or a bear but they were sure it was a bear. They split up for a moment and Jacob went where the noise was coming from and Kailey went to the opposite side.

Kailey said, "I think it's coming over here."

She got scared because she saw something in the distance charging for her. She tried pedaling but it wouldn't go and right when she could clearly see it, her bike broke. She got off and found another bike sitting by a tree. She got it and rode off but when she was going down the 15-foot cliff her brakes broke. She stared at the bear that was charging for her. She screamed at the top of her lungs for help but that's all she remembered. When she found herself in the hospital with all her friends with red eyes that looked like they had been crying, she didn't know what had happened. She looked around then at her leg and it was gone.

She asked, "What happened?"

Her friend Emma said, "When your bike broke on the cliff a bear came and snatched you. Jacob tried to fight it but the bear was too tough."

"Is he okay?" Kailey asked.

"Yeah but he sprained his wrist," said Jailey.

When Kailey was about to leave the hospital the doctor said, "Make sure you at least try to ride your bike again."

Then they got back to the cabin they found the bike Kailey had her accident on. Her friends held the bike so she could get on okay. Then they started walking her to very fluffy soft grass. They started pushing her. She fell and they all started laughing and then walked her to her bed. She laid there wondering if she would ever be able to ride her bike all by herself again. The next morning she woke up so excited to get back on her bike again. She went outside and called her friends and they held the bike so she could get on okay. They started pushing her to soft grass. The next day they did the same until one day they heard crying. They ran to Kailey's bedroom and she wasn't there. They ran outside and saw Kailey with her one leg riding her bike all by herself. They were so happy and Kailey was crying and she said, "I was crying because someone shot the bear. The other reason I was crying is I went up the hill and down the hill 30 times."

Her friends were so happy that their friend learned how to ride a bike with one leg.

Once upon a time there was a castle and everyone was rich. There was one person named James and he was not rick. He lived on a mountain and there was a lot of animals and James tried to kill them. Sometimes he would get them and sometimes he wouldn't so he would go hungry so he had to wait for food. At the castle, he went room to room asking for food and he knew that no one would give him food or that's what he thought. But surprisingly a new family had moved in and were very nice and gave him food and let him stay in their house for a while.

James said, "Thank you for letting me in your house but do not let the king and queen know."

"Why?"

"Because I sometimes come and ask for food but they say no and close the door because they hate me."

"Okay. Never come out of this room. Only go get your stuff from your old house or where you lived and I will have my husband come and help you move your things."

The next day they woke up really early and went to move James' things but James said,"We need to hurry. We only have about a half an hour to get my things."

"Why?"

"Because I hear them wake up at 6:30 in the morning and it's 5:30 a.m. right now."

"Okay I can get a lot of small things a time and then the big things next."

But on their way back up, guess what? The king and queen were on the stairs and they told him all about it and he said,"I guess you can stay but if I catch you sneaking around then we will kick you out."

"Okay."

So the next morning he was all moved in and lived a happy life.

One day, I went to my baseball practice. It was at the school. When I got there, there was no one.

I said to my dad, "I think we should go home."

My dad said, "No we will wait 30 minutes and then we will go home."

"Okay Dad."

We waited 15 minutes and then I saw my friend, Kaiden.

I said, "Kaiden isn't your dad the coach?"

Kaiden said, "No my dad is the assistant coach."

Then my friend Conor came.

I said, "Hey Conor I never knew you played baseball."

Conor said, "I do play baseball."

"Okay, come on and play catch."

Conor came and played catch and we had a fun time at practice the rest of the day.

New Doll by: Aspen

In November I got my tonsils taken out and my friend Elle was coming over. But she did not know I got my tonsils taken out. My mom was out shopping and she called the house and she said, "I have a surprise for you." Then my friend got here. "Hold on Mom, Elle is here. Guess what Elle, I got my tonsils taken out."

Then her mom got home.

"Aspen, come here I have something for you."

When I was walking down the hall, I heard whatever my thing rusling on the bag. My mom handed me a doll. A doll that had red hair and a blue bow and a blue dress.

"Mom, it is so cute. Thank you. Elle look."

"Wow, that is so cool. Let's go to my house Aspen."

"Okay."

"Darn it. I forgot to put my doll in my house."

"It's okay. Just put it on the table and when you go home, just grab it and go."

"Okay."

"What do you want to do?"

"Cook."

"Okay."

16 minutes later.

"Aspen, your mom is here."

"Okay. Bye Elle."

"Hi Aspen, did you have fun?

"Yeah."

"What did you do?"

"We cooked."

"What did you cook?"

"Cookies."

"Cool."

"Mom, I forgot my doll."

"You did? You just got it today."

"Elle, I left my doll here."

Once upon a time there were 2 boys. Their names were Caleb and Ethan. After school, their dad, Jon, took them to WalMart.

"So what do you want?" said Ethan.

"How about this cool Lego set?" said Ethan.

"No!"

"How about this toy truck? Yes, let's get it," said Josh.

So they got it. When they got home, Caleb fell asleep. Then Ethan charged the toy truck.

2 hours later...

"It has to charge for 2 hours."

"It was more than two hours."

"Come on."

They ran outside.

This story begins with a kid named Noah. One day there was a new kid that moved into his neighborhood. He liked to play, but he didn't have any firends. So he went to the new kid's house.

"Hi, I am Noah."

"Hi I am Isabella." she said.

"Do you want to play with me? Do you like basketball?" Noah said.

Isabella said, "Yes, I do like basketball."

"Okay, do you want to play basketball with me?"

"Sure, let's go play in the park," she said.

"I have 2 basketball hoops in backyard so we can play against each other," he said.

"Okay. I've got a ball. We can play ball with it," she said.

Once upon a time this girl named Emily was tending Emily. Sahra was watching TV. Her mom was expected home any minute. The door opened, Sahra yelled, "Hi." Nobody answered. She said, "What's there?"

Still nobody answered. She could hear footsteps coming to the kitchen door, to the dining room. Sahra yelled, "Get out!" She heard the door shut. She could hear the footsteps going to the front door. She ran to the window and she didn't see any footsteps in the fresh snow that had just fell.

That night Sahra and Emily woke up crying cause they could hear footsteps going in their room.

Did you see the big game? In case you're wondering what big game I'm talking about, #1 LSU vs. #2 Alabama football game. The time was around 7:00 to 8:00. I'll explain the scoring and close to scoring drives. In the first quarter, Alabama is trying to kick a field goal.

"Here's the snap!" the TV said. "The ball's going, going and it's a....miss."

"Shoot!" said the football player who had tried to kick the field goal.

In this paragraph, Alabama tries for another field goal.

"Here we go!" said Dad.

"Yes I wonder if they'll make it this time," I said.

"The play clock's at 5, 4, 3 and here comes the snap!" the TV said. "Here's the blitz and number 25 is in trouble!"

"The is the big moment," said Dad.

Number 25 kicked the ball and it soared up, up and into the field goal!

"Now we have a team on the board!" the TV said. "The score is now 3-0, Alabama."

"Finally!" said Dad.

"Really, I wonder what took them so long," I said.

This time, LSU is trying for a field goal to see if they can even out the score.

"Here goes another field goal, the second one of the game," said the TV.

"Alright, now let's see if LSU can tie up the game," said Dad.

"Here's number 20 up to kick the field goal, " said the TV. "Will he make it? Find out when we come back."

Then the screen turned to commercials and my Dad made them shorter by fasting forward with the remote.

"Welcome back to the game," said the TV. "Now you'll see if number 20 can make the field goal and tie up the game. Here's the snap and the kick."

After number 20 kicked the ball, it soared up, up and into the field goal!

"Now we have the teams all tied up," said the TV.

"Now find out what's going on in the studio update during halftime."

After halftime was over, Alabama is trying for another 3 points to retake the lead.

"Here we are waiting to see if Alabama can get the lead again," said the TV. "The kicker is number 30 from Alabama. He has only missed 1 field goal this season and he might kick the rest of the field goals for Alabama this game."

"This might decide who the game goes to," said Dad.

"Here's the snap and the ball's going up and it is good!" said the TV.

"Now in the 4th quarter we're going to see if LSU can tie up the score and make the game go to overtime," said the TV. "This time number 2 will try to make the goal."

Number 2 was doing practice kicks.

"Alright, I wonder if LSU can tie up the game," said Dad.

"Here we are about to see how good number 2 is," said the TV. "Here's the play action and the snap is good and the kick is here! It's going toward the goal and it's good! That's the 4th quarter and we're going to overtime."

Here Alabama tries for the field goal.

"Here's number 81 up to kick the field goal in overtime," said the TV. "If he makes it, LSU will have to score a field goal to make it go to double overtime."

"Alright, let's see if number 81 can make it," said Dad.

"The play clock's winding down but here's the snap and kick," said the TV. "It's going up and his misses!"

This time, LSU is trying to make a field goal.

"Here we are waiting to see if LSU can make the field goal with 37 seconds to go in the game," said the TV. "Number 20 is back to kick the field goal. This will decide if the game goes to LSU or if the game goes to double overtime! Here's play action and the snap's good, number 20's kicked the field goal and it's good! There's 5, 4, 3, 2 seconds left and LSU wins 9-6."

The Blood Trouble by: Aubry

Once when my brother was in my neighbor's backyard and they were playing a game and my brother, Dallin, had a water gun and it had no water in it. He was jumping on the tramp holding the water gun in his hands when suddenly he jumped so high, he hit his eyebrow on the spring. My dad ran to my brother and said, "He needs to go to the hospital."

While we were at my friend's house I got to play games and watch movies. Then we talked about stitches. My best friend, Lily, Had stitches when she was a baby. It was almost 10:00. Then there was a ding-dong. It was Dallin! We went home and got in our PJ's. So then Dallin said when they were putting it on, it stinged a little bit. Then we went to bed.

Trick or Treat by: Wesley

One Halloween morning, I was getting ready for school and I said to my mom, "Mom, can I go trick or treating with Peyton, Austin and umm, Noah?"

"No, not until you clean your room okay?"

"But Mom."

"No buts," she replied quickly.

So I just kept on getting ready for school and I put my homework into my backpack and headed off to school. When I got to school we had a parade around the school. And then we did activities and went home. I had a great time.

When I got home, I did my homework and asked my mom, "Mom can I go trick or treating with Peyton, Austin and Noah now?"

"Did you clean your room?"

"No."

"Then no trick or treating for you."

"Fine."

So I went upstairs to my room and threw all of my dirty clothes into a basket and threw away the trash and cleaned the rest of the stuff and called my mom and said, "Mom can I go trick or treating?"

"Yes."

"Yess!"

After that, I went outside where my friends was and said, "Can you play?"

"Yeah."

So we played and played until I said, "What time is it?
"Wow, 5:30."

"Already?"

So we went trick or treating and where we went was in the country run, Harvest Home and my neighborhood and got a ton of candy.

The Pilgrims lived in England. They wanted to do their own religion so they got on a ship and left. They kept traveling then they came to America. They met the Indians.

The Pilgrims said, "Can we live here?"

"Yes," the Indians said. "We will help you grow crops."

So they did. They grew crops. They had a big feast to celebrate called Thanksgiving. Younger kids played together. "Let's play in the water."

"No, let's go fishing," some said.

One the feast table, they had turkey, cranberries, clams, fish and other things.

"I'm full," some people said.

"Me too," others said.

The pilgrims were nice. They helped with the feast. The Indians were also nice to let them live there.

It was locked! So I got home and they were missing my parents! So I went in my room and also crying my eyes out and I heard..."Surprise, it's your birthday son!"

"Whaaat? You tricked me."

So they had a wild party and a cool party.

I woke up, "Ohhhh, it's Tuesday!"

Once I got stitches. What happened was I was watching a movie with my sister. I was looking through my dad's stuff. I was only five so I didn't know what I was doing. My sister said to me, "what are you doing Beau?"

"I don't know," I replied.

Then i found a pocket knife and found the knife part and cut my fingers open. I saw some red stuff and wasn't sure what it was, but then I realized it was blood. That's when I screamed, "AHHHHH!" I screamed as hard as I could. My mom ran upstairs. She saw my fingers and said, "What happened Beau?"

"I, I, I, I don't know!"

So we drove to the hospital and I got 10 stitches in my hand.

"I found him," my mom said.

"Can I have some pie?" Dylan asked.

"Well okay, but you can only have two pieces of pie," Mom said.

Once me, Freeman, and mom were in Idaho. We went to Easton's house with Rale and Emmie. All the kids didn't know what to do. Easton was like let's fight!

We were fighting...then all the sudden Freeman was bleeding really bad on his eyebrow. I ran upstairs and yelled, "Freeman is bleeding!"

So my mom, me and Emmie ran downstairs. I went in Easton's closet cause I was scared. Emmie ran upstairs and said, "I got toilet paper!"

Mom was like, "Oh my gosh. What should I do?"

Emmie was like, "Let's just go to the hospital."

Well Grandma Day was there too so we watched as Emmie, Mom and Freeman left to the hospital. When Freeman and Mom got home, Freeman had seven stitches on his eyebrow. It was scary. Mom had to put cream on it. Weird huh? And gross.

So when she was in jail, their mom and dad came to put her in jail also and they saw their little boy with throw up on him.

"Cuz i want to watch Cars Two."

One night my brother and sister were making some noise. My dad came in and said, "If I hear one more noise Quinn, you're going to sleep in the basement."

We tried to be quiet but my brother made some noise. My dad came in and put me in a basement room. I laid in the bed for a while. After a while, I got out of the bed and out of the room. As I passed the couch and it went, "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" But it was just my dad.

We got to the hotel so they got to their room and they heard a boom, boom...louder and louder it got. Suddenly it stopped. Mom said, "Whatever." Ten minutes later they little boy heard it again. He woke up his mom. They went in the hall and they searched what that sound. They went down the stairs. She heard boom, boom, boom, boom from the cafeteria. They went in there. There was nothing but something caught the boy's eye; a floating plate, table, fork, spoon and knife. There was millions and millions of ghosts. I saw glass plated broken on the floor. They went back upstairs and went to bed. The next morning the people asked, "Did you hear that boom, boom last night?"

"Yeah, did you?"

"Yes, let's investigate tonight."

"Do you know where the sound is coming from?

"Yeah, the cafeteria. Last night me and my son saw glass on the floor and tables tipped over."

"Okay and where did you hear the sound coming from?"

"The cafeteria."

"Okay. Let's meet in the cafeteria tonight, okay?"

45 minutes later.

"Hi, go in."

"I need to go turn the light off."

"Wait. Who is in there? Stop."

"Hey you set me up. You saw me downstairs. Your friend scared my son."

So she went back upstairs and went to bed. The next morning they went home.

Once a ten year old kid, Isabell, could not sleep. While she was awake she saw one of her clothes move. She didn't speak. She did not breathe. She opened her closet door. She heard a shreik! Her clothes grabbed her. She saw a man who was standing right in front of her. Then she saw her attic ladder. She jumped to it. She climbed as fast as she could. She saw the man. Isabell said, "Who are you?"

"I am the dark shadow," he said.

She was trapped in the attic. She had to do something. She knew she could find out who would do this. When she turned around it was her dad. He said he was just trying on his costume.

So he went home and a few minutes later he was home thinking who would put rotten eggs in ice cream, he said. So he got a notepad and pencil and wrote every single person that he knew, even Treina. So very first was Treina. Mr. Boo asked Treina; she said no. Once he got there he saw Treina putting in rotten eggs. He said, "Treina stop!" She didn't stop. So Mr. Boo went to stop her. He did.

One dark, eerie night we were getting ready to go to sleep. We heard the wind. It was as if a whip was whipping the side of my house. A few of them shined their lights on my house and another had big freaky guns. The last two had guys that were hanging from ropes that looked like snakes. Then my grandpa went outside and the helicopters went away.

There was a man who lived in a small, old house. The man who lived in the small, old house had died so all his neighbors always went to that old house to have a party. They noticed that the man never really cleaned his house. They said next time they had a party they would all bring a cleaning utensil to clean with and then we will have a party. The next time they went they all brought a cleaning utensil and cleaned. After they were done cleaning, they had a party and stayed really late until 12:30 a.m. They all went home to bed. The next day when they woke up they went and checked their calendar to see what they had to bring to the party that night. They had to bring a jack-o-lantern because it was getting close to Halloween. That night when they went to the party, the ghost of the old man awoke. The ghost of the old man went out the door and locked it from the outside. When the party was over and everyone went to leave, the door was locked and they said, "We must have locked it." So they unlocked it and said it won't open. It must be locked from the outside. They said, "It's probably fine to sleep here for the night. I heard it's supposed to rain tonight. Maybe whatever is jamming it will wash away."

The next morning they at some left overs from the party they had. They were so excited to go check if the door would open because they hated that old place. They heard something go, "Oooooo." They checked all the windows so they said, "Hey this window is unlocked."

They all jumped out the window and ran home.

Once upon a time, there was Mrs. Joker stealing bombs to blow up the graveyard so of the ghosts can eat human flesh. "And soon the world will be mine. Ha! Ha! Ha!"

Then came Bob.

Mrs. Freeze. "Would you mind to blow up Bob? "

"Yes I would love to, Boss." "He's frozen."

"Nice job. Now this is my chance to blow up the graveyard. Ha! Ha! Ha! Okay, now let's do it! Now before we start do you have any last words?"

"NO!"

"Yes!"

One day Quinn and Ansley were walking home from school. But they got lost and came to a castle. They went inside to look for help. A warlock grabbed them and put them in jail. They saw a cauldron with a potion in it. They saw him throw things in the cauldron. Finally he threw some weird liquid in the cauldron. A piece of gravestone. And a ghost that said, "Ooooooooooooh!" So Quinn reached for the key and got both of them out. They made a plan to stop the warlock. But Ansley said, "It's a little dangerous."

All of the sudden they fell in a hole that dropped them at school. But it was empty. When they went around in the classrooms they saw gravestones. So they went outside and looked back but the school was gone! In front of them was a huge maze. They went on a path and fell down a hole that led back to the castle. The warlock saw them and they saw the cauldron boiling! The warlock had almost taken over! But Quinn put something in the cauldron. And Quinn and Ansley ran out of the castle. And it fell and the potion sank in the floor. Then the castle went boom! And the warlock fell on a grave and sank in it. Quinn and Ansley got home safely.

Once there were three teenagers. They were going on a field trip. The bus driver got lost and dropped them off at an old abandoned building. The girls did not know where the heck they were so they started walking and they passed a graveyard and freed all the souls. They got scared so they ran and found a house on Haunted Road. They heard all these rumors but they didn't believe so they went in and saw a ghost. It had white hair and a white gown. The girls ran out of the house, found a car, got in and drove away and were safe.

Once upon a time there was a family and they were eating dinner. Every night they would make cookies but one night they didn't have any eggs so he had to go to his grandfather's house. And the boy laughed. Then the same thing happened again but he didn't have any sugar. So he walked passed the graveyard but Michael Jackson wasn't there so he went into the graveyard and he was dead. He knew the zombies killed him.

A lot of kids were scared and staying with their mom but except these best friends in one group. They were not with their moms. They were trying to scare each other. They were going to scary houses but they were all so scary. Jean really wanted to go to the that haunted house. She said, "Let's play truth or dare." They said yes. So Jean dared Rylee. Jean said, "I dare you to go to that haunted house." Then that will be our last house because I'll be scared too bad. Well, me, Taylor, Blake, Noah, Mia, Kaden, Wesley, McKenzey and Presley still want to trick or treat and go to other houses. Rylee said, "Yes let's go to other houses then that house." So they went to other houses. Finally they were done. Then they got to that house. They were screaming and shaking. They walked up to that creepy door and closed their eyes and knocked on that door. They could hear someone coming. They guy opened the door and they said, "Trick or treat," in a very scary way. They opened their eyes and the guy was a fat, big funny, goofy clown and everybody started to laugh so hard and from now on they had so much fun with that guy and the guy's name was Boo!

One time me and my friend Bella were walking. It was the day before Halloween. So we were walking.

She said, "Let's go to the graveyard." So we did. We went to the graveyard and saw something black and moving. It was big! We heard big noises. Both of us jumped! It was black and hairy.

Bella said, "Let's run." So we ran.

When we got back Bella said, "Can I sleep at your house?" We went to my house.

My mom said, "Let's call your mom and ask." She said yes.

So we ran to my bed. I said, "Let's sleep downstairs." Bella and me said, 'Let's go to the graveyard tomorrow night on Halloween."

We went to sleep. We woke up and said, "Mom, breakfast time.: We had breakfast.

Finally it was time to go.

It was Halloween so we got our costumes and left. We went to the graveyard. We said, "This is going to be fun." "Let's go!"

We started walking.

Then we got there. We were so scared. A giant black thing popped up. It was so scary. It was hairy. We shined our flashlights. It was a giant spider. We jumped on it.

One night i was walking my dog Max then I stopped. I saw where I was...the grave yard! Max ran so fast his leash fell out of my hands. Now i was all by myself. Then i heard a voice and it said, "Get off my grave!" I ran but a hand grabbed my leg. I tried not to panic. Then i saw a man in the distance. It couldn't be a grave yard guard; they are not up this late and it looked like it was f... f... floating! Then I saw a goblin coming out of the ground! That made me scream, "AAHHH!" Then they pulled out buckets. I thought there were going to kill me! What if there was poison in the buckets? Then the man in the distance came to me but he was not a man. He was a phantom! And he had a bucket too! Then they reached in their buckets and threw candy at me! Then they took off their costumes and my mom, dad, brother and sister yelled, "Happy Halloween!"

There was a haunted house that nobody wanted to stay in. Some people say that a guy haunted that house because his wife killed him but she didn't. Another girl killed him on accident. She didn't mean to kill him. Well, the man was already too old and the girl fell on him and he hit his head on the sidewalk and then the girl found out that he was dead! The girl went to her house and took her house phone and then she went back to the old man but the old man was gone. She got really scared. She ran back to her house and in the living room stood the old man eating popcorn!

Haunted Houses by Anabelle

There is a house on 1313 Elm Street. The street lights light up the dark window. The cold breeze howling in and out of my ears. I shuddered, staring up at the old house I saw a dark figure.

"There," I said to my friend Brett.

"Here," Brett said.

"Yes, here," I replied back.

"The house is haunted by dead spirits who died a terrible death!" Brett concluded.

"Shut up and get inside," I yelled.

Brett muttered something about ghosts.

"Pla! Haunted houses, I hate em'," Brett said.

"Shut up Brett," I said clenching my teeth.

He muttered something I couldn't understand. Then we entered the house. Bats flew past my head. We heard a growl from deeper in the house.

"Did you hear that?" Brett asked.

"What?" I demanded.

"That growl," he said.

"I thought that was your stomach," I told him.

"No, it wasn't," Brett whispered to me.

"It might be the Pumpkin King who eats children."

"Nonsense," I told him.

Then the lights off then on and Brett was gone.

"Brett!" I screamed.

Then I heard a scream.

"Brett," I thought.

I raced downstairs and saw the funniest thing ever. Brett was tickling the Pumpkin King.

"Brett!" I called.

I never realized I was crying in joy to see my wimpy friend tickle the Pumpkin King to death. Brett ran up and hugged me.

"I never should have treated you like that," Brett sobbed.

"It's all right," I said smoothly.

"I missed you Anabelle," Brett still sobbed.

"Well, let's go trick or treat Brett," I said.

"Okay!" Brett said excitedly.

This is how the Pumpkin King was like - red eyes, huge claws, yellow sharp teeth and smells like a sewer with a whole bunch of rats!

And Brett is now scared of Halloween.

Boo! by Cade

The day I decided to play a prank on my brother was one of the funniest days of my life. It all started when my brother went to the bathroom. I decided to dress up as a ghost and scare him as he came out the bathroom. I found a pure white sheet and cut two enemies in it. I put the sheet over my head. I walked toward the bathroom. I could still hear Shad (that's my brother's name) going to the bathroom. Then, I heard the toilet flush. I heard the sink water running. Next, I heard the turning of the bathroom doorknob.

The door opened, and I jumped toward it and shouted, "Boo!"

My brother screamed, "Ahhhh!"

Then I took off the sheet.

"Cade!" shouted Shad.

"Hee hee hee, ha ha ha, you should've seen the look on your face!"

I howled with laughter. More chuckles and laughs followed. That's when Shad started to get angry.

"Come back here, you prankster!" he shouted.

He reached for me. I took off. In the end, he chased me around the house.

Once there was a talking dog that could fly and wore diapers. He went to an island of cats. He didn't like it. So to blend in he dressed up as a cat. It was stuck. So he did nothing and stayed in his cabin made of wood which he made himself. Then he rode on a roller coaster. It was fun for him. He got sick so he went to Dr. Coconut (or a bear). He was stupped, he speaks in Japanese. Then the dog went to his cabin of wood. He caught a cold so he stayed inside. it was lame. He ate pizza, then he was invisible. Then evil took over the island, he took care of it. he flew in his jet to his home in New Mexico. He likes it there.

Today is Fun Friday! Fun Friday is when we do activities. We will be doing the games. We will also be doing a raffle today. I am so excited! We got extra recess today. It was fun. I love school. It is so fun. I love reading too. I read every day.

Today at school I had a pretty hairdo. I had popcorn chicken for lunch. My book is lost! I can't find it, I said to myself. When was the last time I saw the book? Yes! Now I remember. I left it at the school. It's my favorite book. I know! I will go back to the school and I will tell my mother that I am going to my friends house. Mom, can I go to my friends house? I said. Yes said mom. But be back at 1:30. Ok I said. I ran to the school and opened the door. I checked my desk. It isn't there! Oh well I said. There is a book sale on Friday I said. When I went to the doors they were locked! I saw a phone. I picked it up. Help! I yelled to it. I heard a noise. I t wasn't police. It was my mother. Did you forget there is a book sale on Friday? said mom. No I said in a quiet voice. Mom said If you don't do that again I will buy you a book.

There once was a caterpillar named Fred who loved to eat leaves. He ate and ate. One time he ate some weird stuff for a caterpillar. One time he ate hot sauce just itself Tabasco, HOT! He tried to find a drink and just then his mouth cavant into flames. So he went into the refrigerator and got some milk that is so much better he said. Later he made some friends Henry, Blake, Zack and Johnny. All of them loved to eat also. After he grew up, he went to boy scouts and got hired for a job. He became a engineer, when he got a little older, he got married. The girls name was Malia. They had 3 kids, their names were Jonathan, Charly and Zeke. Then Fred got older and retired. He retired at age 70 and now everybody was getting old. And so Fred died at age 91 and Malia died at 84. All of their children were sad. And did you know that all of them didn't grow into a butterfly.

Bullies bully because one to feel powerful, two they're just bored and three they're sad. They might want to bully you because they have been bullied. Bullies can change any time. Try to be nice to bullies and they will try to be nice to you. Sometimes you will want to fight back but it will only make things worse. Here's a saying: "fight fire with fire and you get more fire. Fight fire with ice or water and it goes away." I hope you learned something.

The Amazon is a rare rain forest. It has many endangered animals like white tigers, toucans and all types of birds. The Amazon has tons of tall trees that some animals call home like big cats and birds. I want to travel there to be smart enough to work at a zoo. The first time I heard about the endangered animals I wanted to help save wild animals so they don't have to be extinct. If we had no wild cats to eat our sick or weak or old cattle, sheep or any other farm animals that we ate then we would get sick too. That's why we have big cats to eat sick or weak animals to keep us from getting sick. Big cats are heros. Yay for big cats!

September 11th 2001, a terrible day. The disaster started when three planes were flying. Little did the people on board know that they pilots were from Iraq and planned to crash into the Twin Towers! What happened next was terrible. As two of the places hit the Twin Towers, a massive explosion went off. The Twin Towers were coming down! Thousands of people died and thousands more when the Twin Towers hit the ground and caused another explosion, this time a massive dust and ash explosion. There was one more plane still high in the sky. To this day people think the plane was aimed for the White House but somehow the people on board found out that the pilot and co-pilot were from Iraq and their plan. The people on board marched up the aisle and took control. Instead of crashing into the White House the plane crashed into a wheat field not far away. Meanwhile, back where the Twin Towers had fallen panic was thick in the air. Drivers were confused because some of the power had gone out. I don't know exactly how many people died but I know a ton of people died. A day later, all that was on television was news about the event that happened the day before. For one or two weeks people hung flags on cars and houses. There was hardly a car or house without a flag. Those terrorists were trying to make us afraid and they did. They also tried to destroy us but they didn't. They only made us stronger.

I am going to tell you about sharks ok. First of all, I 'm going to tell you my favorite kind of shark. Wait for it, wait for it, the great white shark! It is so cool, like its not even funny. It has these giant teeth and it's mouth is so big. Now I am going to tell you my second favorite kind of shark. It is the bull shark and it also is really cool and it also has giant teeth but the great white has bigger teeth but the bull shark has a bigger bite force. 1,000 pounds of force, while the great white shark has only 950 pounds of force so the great white is less deadlier than the bull shark. I went to Las Vegas and I brought my video camera. We stayed in a hotel and it is called Bally's. We stayed there for one night. Then, we ate at Smish. I ate so much meat that I was about to puke. After swish, we went to the actual Pawn Stars Pawn Shop. We could not go in because the people said they were in line for half an hour but we saw the outside and his car. Then we went to the Horitos. We saw Linsy Candace Roni Logan Chloe Tom and Kelly. Then we went swimming in their backyard. I was first on the slide. I tackled Logan. Then I slept in the middle of SoulSurfer. I also sleept in the middle of Rodrick Rules. We swam three times each day. I went home but when I walked out the door the place was toilet papered in the trees. Then I ate at Dunkin Donuts on the way home. I was delicious. I got a powdered donut and chocolate donut holes. Freeman got the same thing as me. I ate Freeman's powdered donut. It was delicious. We played the phones for a while. Then we stopped at the gas station fora bathroom break. Me and Freeman got treats. I got mambas. Freeman got the same. They were all raspberry. Right now I feel like a lemon. Then I saw the Y and so we were almost there. Me, my dad and Kaycie and Freeman got home. I got my Pokemon and sorted like this leaf fire water fist eye energy and some other stuff my back hurt so bad I needed a massage. Once my dad gave me a foot massage. It felt good.

Today I went to school and everything was going perfect. An then came lunch time. Ok so I was eating my lunch and after, I bit my lollipop. And crunch! my tooth was loose! So I pushed it out. And when I went to the office and got my tooth holder and went outside. Then, I played soccer and we won! That was the best day ever. Then I got home and I got a good report so I could play so I played and played. And after my friend Mitchell's mom has a snow cone machine. So we ate snow cones and then I went home.
